Ladytron was formed in 1999 by a group of musicians from diverse backgrounds in Liverpool, UK.
Their style is quite diverse depending on which of the four members of the band write the song – however, it can accurately be described as an evolution of the vintage “Synthpop” sound incorporating elements of “New Wave” and modern elements to sit comfortably in the label “Electropop” that tends to be used these days for these kinds of bands.
Their original breakout single, “Playgirl” was the track that brought international attention to the band, and the track we’re featuring here on Synthtube today.
